About time! Arcade Fire return with new track 'I Give You Power'

Mavis Staples knows a thing or two about rallying fans during tough times, and she's the flawless guest for Arcade Fire's new single, "I Give You Power". Today, frontman Win Butler discussed it with Zane Lowe of Apple Music.

Just hours after Gorillaz released the anti-Trump track "Hallelujah Money", Arcade Fire was next to reveal its track via Twitter.

The band previously teased "I Give You Power" in France, but otherwise has yet to specify whether it will anchor a new record.

"I give You Power" was released yesterday, on the eve of Donald Trump's inauguration as a TIDAL exclusive.

We have millions of ideas, and we have to really figure out what the players can handle and execute, and if they're going to fit. The Seahawks were without starting strong safety Kam Chancellor and strong-side linebacker Mike Morgan as well.

The searing track is the first taste of new material from Arcade Fire since their acclaimed 2013 album "Reflektor".

The song combines elements of industrial electronic with the dance-rock fans have heard in the past. I give you power, but I gotta be free.

Another tweet confirmed that all proceeds from "I Give You Power" will be donated to the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union), a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to protecting the civil liberties of everyone in America.

Arcade Fire is expected to deliver a new studio album and launch a tour sometime later this year.
