Falcons looks to advance while Seahawks hope to close out Georgia Dome

The Falcons finished minus-two in the turnover margin, something head coach Dan Quinn directly correlates to the final outcome of the game.

The most common two-pick parlay on Seattle games this season has been "Seahawks & over", which has come in five times in 17 games. I have no doubt tomorrow's divisional playoff game will be fueled by their quest for revenge.

"To attack in all three phases, we have to arrive violently", Quinn said. Seattle ranks sixth in our adjusted per-play metrics but is a far different unit with Earl Thomas sidelined. It's an eight-man front every down. Kansas City is a tough place to play, but I just haven't liked how they go through droughts in games. Bennett, Clark and Cliff Avril (11.5 sacks) have played at a high level and will have to get to Ryan often. It's always a challenge. We've just got to be technically sound and do our job.

A 30-28 loss to the Falcons in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs stung and lingered. But Wilson's adjusted yards-per-attempt didn't increase meaningfully after that interview. The game is sixty minutes long and each second counts in determining who will win and advance.

The most anticipated matchup of the divisional round of the National Football League playoffs might be the Atlanta Falcons' No. 1 scoring offense against the Seattle Seahawks' No. 3 scoring defense. In the days since that January 1 Saints game, Quinn frequently has referred to it as a model for Falcons fans. He will have yet another big game this week and will rush for 125 yards and two touchdowns.

For Sherman, it was an eventful regular-season game, one in which he was seen on the sidelines screaming at coaches and teammates after Jones' 36-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter. But the Seahawks won't make it easy.

Seattle is notorious for hot and cold streaks and running on emotion.

California storms could herald the end of punishing historic drought
Recent storms drenching the state with rain and snow could enable at least Northern California to leave the drought in the past. In a state as sprawling and varied as California, "where we are in a drought is complicated", Faunt said.

Matt Ryan leads a high-powered Dirty Birds offense, but many fans can't shake the feeling that they're watching another bait and switch from the Falcons.

The Seahawks were without starting strong safety Kam Chancellor and strong-side linebacker Mike Morgan as well. He's a challenge. Seattle is not an easy team to run the ball against but as always you want to stay balance.

By most metrics, and my own eyes, Seattle's offense line hasn't been good. "For me, it's about, 'How do we get the win (this) week?' Putting any more pressure on yourself other than that is a waste of time". "He's had terrific history of making big plays, so we certainly know what Devin is capable of", Quinn said. For now, I'll tell you that I like the Chiefs, a team with an opportunistic defense and an offense hitting its stride, along with the fact that they'll be playing in front of a rocking Arrowhead crowd.

"We have this game at home because of you, our fans!" Matt Ryan missed WR Roddy White for the conversion, the Falcons turned the ball over on downs, and Atlanta would go on to lose 28-24.

Tailback Thomas Rawls set a franchise playoff rushing record against the Lions, but going into the rematch with the Falcons there's little depth behind him.

"It's a challenge. You have to try your hardest to stay balanced". We have millions of ideas, and we have to really figure out what the players can handle and execute, and if they're going to fit.
