Former Denver Bronco Tim Tebow hosts a Night to Shine

Former Denver Bronco Tim Tebow hosts a Night to Shine

This has been a great experience, but this moment is for Ryanne. "This is my first big dance and I'm excited", said Deric.

Inside the limo, Ryanne and Phillips shared a special moment, when Ryanne turned to her buddy and said, "this is so fun".

"We hope everyone walks away, volunteers included, feeling special and loved by God", Avery said.

It's "amazing" to have an event like Night to Shine, she said, and she was impressed by all the decorations around the school. Afterward, refreshments will be available for all the guests, coupled with dancing to the beats of a live DJ. The tiara was Knapp's favorite part.

Eldredge noted that numerous people who served as buddies last year signed up to do it again and others who had helped with the prom in some other capacity before had signed on to be buddies this year.

Friday night marked the Northside Christian Church's second time hosting A Night to Shine, which had 80 guests previous year, including Tyler, who said it was her first prom.

"I'm super happy because I get to dance and hang out with my friends", said Richardson, who lives in Bremerton. "It was definitely an act of love from everyone who came to support, and it made a difference", she said. Its not just for kids, adults are invited too. They entered their prom on a red carpet and were pretty much treated like kings and queens.

Disappearing Ice Volcanoes Could Be Found On Ceres
The team already has plans to further investigate the entire surface of Ceres , in search of these flattened mountains. But Sori's team has now proposed a possible solution to this exact puzzle, a process called viscous relaxation.

"If it wasn't for the Tim Tebow Foundation and Christ Temple and the community, this wouldn't happen and we'd might have to travel out of state for something like this", Hammock said. "This is a ideal fit for our church because our church loves people, loves to serve and they gain a lot of joy from giving to people no thought of return".

"That's what's so incredible - that we have so many people rallying around this", Caserta said. Last year's event was thrown together rapidly, but the prom night has blossomed in its second year.

"There's nothing really like this around here".

The Tim Tebow Foundation is behind Night to Shine for the third straight year.

The Tim Tebow Night to Shine continues to grow every year. Once inside, guests receive the royal treatment, including hair and makeup stations, shoe shining areas, limousine rides, corsages and boutonnieres, a catered dinner, karaoke, prom favors for each honored guest and, of course, a dance floor... all leading up to the moment when each guest is crowned king or queen of the prom.

On Staten Island, about 155 young people attended the Night to Shine event, and 125 volunteers helped to make the evening a success.

"They prefer that's its done in a church because they like that setting, and that's what they have found has been the best way to reach these people and make it safe for them and feel like they're wanted and loved. That they're special in the eyes of God, and that they're special to us, too", said Doug Martin, the church's lead minister.
