Lenovo Announces Moto G5, G5 Plus at MWC 2017, India Launch Soon

Lenovo has updated its Moto G smartphone range with the G5 and G5 Plus unveiled at Mobile World Congress. Here is the difference between the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus.

Lenovo owned Moto announced today at MWC Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus will be available globally from march at Rs 16000 and Rs 19600 respectively. Let's check out the detailed specifications list of both these smartphones.

For pricing and availability, the Moto G5 won't be released in the U.S. and will be retailing at 199 Euro for other markets.

This time, both the phones come with a fingerprint scanner. The phone measures 150.2 x 74 x 9.7 mm and weighs 155 grams. It comes with a 5-inch Full HD panel up front and uses a water-repellent coating (P2i) for protection against occasional spills and splashes. It's only slightly bigger than the 5-inch G5 and what is clear from spending some time with the phone is that the display is just as vibrant and sharp as it was previous year. This time around, Motorola chose metal design for giving a premium look and feel to the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. For instance, you can buy a bigger speaker if you'd like to listen to music with your friends, or buy a snap-on battery pack if you're constantly running out of juice.

For photography, Moto G5 features a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera and the Moto G Plus is equipped with a 12MP dual camera and a 5MP wide-angle front camera with auto-HDR.

"Now coming to Moto G5 Plus, it comes with a 5.2" FHD display, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. There is also a display flash on board.

Dan Biggar then intercepted as England pummelled the Welsh line as the home side looked to secure a famous win. But Rob Howley's side will have to play with the roof open after England decided against shutting it.

At the back, it comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera with a added dual LED flash.

Amazon Alexa is expanding into phones, and Motorola's implementation is definitely the most interesting. Both the G5 and G5 Plus retain the 1080p HD resolution of the G4. There's one new addition, though, and I've waited nearly a full year for Moto to make it happen.

In contrast, the Moto G5 Plus bears 32GB/64GB internal storage and 3GB/4GB of RAM (region dependent). The G5 comes with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM, while the G5 Plus has 3GB. Both have microSD support for storage expansion up to 128GB. They are also charged via Micro-USB rather than USB Type-C but fast charging is available on the G5 Plus, and the G5 is compatible with the company's rapid charger. Unfortunately neither will contain NFC technology for mobile payments for USA customers (though it may be included in global versions of the G5 Plus).

Bearing minor heating issues, Moto G4 Plus is a flawless mid-ranger with an excellent camera for its price. That includes a wireless charging Moto Mod, a Turbo Power Moto Mod, and a charging adaptor.

The Moto G5 Plus has a larger display, faster processor, better camera, more internal base storage and a slightly larger battery capacity over the Moto G5.
