New Executive Order Puts A Regulatory Watchdog In Each Federal Agency

Flanked by some of the nation's top manufacturing executives, President Donald Trump signed an executive order Friday directing federal agencies to create task forces to identify burdensome regulations ready for the chopping block, promising the end of "an impossible situation" for US companies and new economic growth.

Trump said that the order is "one of many ways" the administration will remove "job-killing regulations".

Leaders of 3M, Lockheed-Martin, Dow Chemical, Archer Daniels Midland and International Paper were among those on hand.

While Trump described his efforts to roll back regulations as a boost to the economy, the moves have drawn criticism from environmental groups.

"Does it make life better or safer for American workers and American consumers?" "This directs each agency to establish a regulatory reform task force which will ensure that every agency has a. real team of dedicated people to research all regulations that are unnecessary, b. I want regulations for safety", Trump said. It's unclear how this might impact FMCSA since many of their rules are Congressionally mandated and eliminating a mandated regulation would likely take Congressional action, a source told The Trucker.

Crews used helicopters to drop bags of rocks into the gouged portion of the emergency spillway, in an effort to plug the hole. With the emergency evacuation orders in place due to the spillways, there are local schools that will be closed on Monday.

"The way the progressive left runs is, if they can't get it passed, they're just going to put in some sort of regulation in an agency", Bannon said.

Trump said the goal is to "stop punishing companies for doing business in the United States". "They're going to be incentivized to do business in the United States", he promised.

The measure orders government departments to establish task forces to recommend regulations to be eliminated or simplified, Trump said.

Under the order, the task forces are required to report to their agency heads within 90 days, identifying regulations that should be repealed, replaced or modified. I want to protect our environment.
