Newest Quake Champions trailer highlights the ghost walking Nyx

A new Quake Champions trailer released by Bethesda earlier today has sparked a discussion over the game's poor gameplay mechanics. The site has been updated to reflect what players can expect from the beta, including individual Champions, arenas and weapons.

The full release of Quake Champions is scheduled for later in 2017.

In the final retail version of the game hero combat is expected to be the default, with additional ruleset to be available for those who wish to play without unique character abilities. And more information on the game will continue to be released throughout the week, including a new champion video on Wednesday and a map preview on Thursday.

Willits gave those in attendance a quick look at the four Champions introduced in the announce trailer at E3 - franchise classics Ranger and Visor, and newcomers Nyx and Scalebearer. And with the game getting a showing at PAX East this weekend, id has chose to give players a glimpse at some of the characters they will get to choose from.

Quake Champions continues id Software's tradition of pushing the boundaries of modern technology and will deliver stunning graphics running at 120hz with unlocked frame rates. While we wait you can see the first eight champions revealed in the gallery below.
