Tight End Jared Cook to sign with Raiders

Tight End Jared Cook to sign with Raiders

The Oakland Raiders have reportedly agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent tight end Jared Cook.

If Cook and the Seahawks are unable to reach a deal today, USA TODAY's Tom Peliserro is reporting Cook will travel to Minnesota for his next visit. If you read the press, the addition of free agent tight end Jared Cook is drawing rave reviews as if the signing will give quarterback Derek Carr another impact target in his passing arsenal. The former Titans, Rams, and Packers tight end will join the Silver and Black on a two-year contract that is worth up to $12.2 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Walford's development has been slowed by offseason injuries during his two years in the National Football League and he has 61 catches for 688 yards and six TDs in his career.

According to investigators, Barrett barricaded himself in his apartment after shooting the victim outside. The victim was crossing Meeker Avenue mid-block when the driver hit him, police said.

Among the 43 tight ends to see at least 30 targets in 2016, Cook finished 31st in Reception Net Expected Points per target. His biggest play of the season was the sideline catch with three seconds remaining to set up the game-winning field goal against the Cowboys in the NFC divisional playoff game.

The soon-to-be 30-year-old tight end played his first four seasons in Tennessee before heading to St. Louis, where he played another three years before being signed by Green Bay last offseason to a single-season contract.

Despite not having prolific numbers last season, Cook was a major catalyst for Green Bay's offense. He is the third offensive player added to the roster, joining tackle Marshall Newhouse and wide reciever and return specialist Cordarrelle Patterson.
