Activision confirms the next Call of Duty will be set in WWII

After weeks of rumours and leaks, it's finally been confirmed that Call of Duty is heading back to the era that defined it: World War 2.

Call of Duty 2017 is happening. Interestingly, there was no projected release date for the upcoming shooter.

In confirming the game's existence, Activision also announced a livestream event for next Wednesday, April 26th. The countdown to the livestream is now posted on the official website of the game.

We already know that the gameplay will take us back to the roots of call of duty.

He did note it will be interesting to see how Sledgehammer Games will turn back the clock with the multiplayer setting of "Call of Duty: WWII", considering the sci-fi settings had wall running and double jumping.

The images gathered in this Imgur gallery show US soldiers storming what looks like Normandy beach in France, also known as D-Day - one of the most infamous operations from World War II.

Let's hope that this will be an Infinite Warfare as the name suggest. It also gives the release date as November 3, which is exactly when the games are usually released. The Activision CFO specifically calls out, "traditional combat", in an announcement.

These particles are so small that they can lodge deep in the lungs and trigger asthma attacks, heart attacks and strokes. Despite these improvements , many cities hit their highest average number of days when particle levels spiked.

The game will be developed by Sledgehammer Games, which worked on 2014's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

The return to a historical setting is unsurprising after the backlash to more recent entries in the series.

The odds of a Call of Duty: WWII beta are very good.

PS4 owners will get Call of Duty DLC early again. The WWII setting was instrumental in the franchise's success in the early 2000s. Sledgehammer Games believes that it was successful in doing so.

It has been 10 years since we last returned to the second World War and now it looks like we will be returning this fall.

Not much else is known about the game, but fortunately for excited gamers, the wait will not be long.
