Cristie Kerr wins LPGA Lotte in Hawaii for 19th tour title

Cristie Kerr wins LPGA Lotte in Hawaii for 19th tour title

"You know, I'm just real excited to be home".

"I was just kind of being myself", said Kerr, who had eight putts on her last eight holes. "It was an unbelievable run". Kerr earned $300,000 for the win, allowing her to surpass the $18 million mark in career LPGA money. I think I had like four-under the front nine, and then the back nine, from 13, I think I had a really good finish. They always have been.

"I couldn't see the line or anything", she said. "It's just that once I know it's in, I walk after it". Michelle Wie is the only American to win the tournament since it began in 2012. Morgan's last Top 10 was in 2009.

Lee, 24, made the cut just once in three previous starts at Ko Olina. Sky is the limit.

Going into Saturday's final round, Kerr was three behind Jang, who was playing in the event under a sponsor's exemption. Ariya Jutanugarn, of Thailand, follows her shot from the first tee during the third round of the Lotte Championship LPGA golf tournament Friday, April 14, 2017, in Kapolei, Hawaii.

Ko shot a round-best eight-under par 64 at the Lotte Championship to rocket up the leaderboard in Oahu.

EASTER FUN Egg hunts, activities
The Medina Railroad Museum, 530 West Ave., Medina, will offer its Easter Express with departure times at noon and 1:20 p.m. Kids 11 and younger can hunt for candy around the market in Henderson, and get a free ride ticket and raffle ticket.

Australia's top-ranked female player Minjee Lee returns to the scene of one of her three LPGA Tour triumphs when the tour moves to Hawaii this week. Hopefully now I can straighten things out and play as well as the other girls are doing.

"Considering where I was after the first day (of this tournament) I'm pretty pleased with where I've finished".

Bjerregaard's adventurous round included an eagle, six birdies, and five bogeys. I had a couple of good days of rest and I'm ready for the week to start. "I was right there all day". There are five golfers at 7 under, including second-ranked So Yeon Ryu (69), coming off a victory in the major ANA Inspiration, and Olympic champion Inbee Park.

Canada's Alena Sharp (66) and Cristie Kerr (62) of the U.S. are tied for second at 14-under 202 in the tournament which has featured weather delays in each of the first three rounds.

Third-ranked Ariya Jutanugarn and Stacy Lewis tied for seventh, six strokes behind Kerr.

The LPGA Tour is off next week before heading to the Lone Star State for the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout presented by JTBC in Irving, Texas on April 27th.
