Mario Balotelli Fires Back at Brendan Rodgers for Joke About Liverpool Career

The former Liverpool boss made the gag during an awards ceremony at Celtic on Tuesday night.

In the past few days, Brendan Rodgers was asked to name the best player he's ever managed during a Celtic gala event.

It's fair to say that one of the worst recent signings at Anfield was Brendan Rodgers signing Mario Balotelli.

This was received by the audience with howls of laughter as they were well aware of the problems Rodgers experienced trying to get the best out of the striker for Liverpool.

However Balotelli too can see the amusing side as he replied today, describing Rodgers as an "amazing" coach. "Amazing", complete with laughing emojis.

These included sensors for centrifuges used to enrich uranium, the activity that led to sanctions on Iran. David Albright, of the Institute for Science and International Security, said to Politico .

Balotelli proved a huge flop at the Premier League club, scoring just three times in 23 appearances and failing to live up to his hefty £16 million price tag from AC Milan.

In 28 games overall at the club Balotelli found the net only four times.

The striker was forced to train on his own during pre-season before he joined Nice in a free transfer on deadline day.

He eventually went to Nice in French Ligue 1 on a permanent deal, where he has been in much better form with 14 goals in 18 starts.
