ABOUT US COMMANDS

ABOUT US COMMANDS

WE are often used to suggest that others do something with you rather than to command: let's do something or let's not do something. We already learned a way to say let's do something by using VAMOS A + infinitive verb :

Let's walk! Let's go to eat! Let's go to eat! Let's write! Let's go to write!
It is important to use exclamation marks to indicate that the construction VAMOS A + Infinitive is used as a US command. Otherwise, it will have another meaning (in the present tense and near future):
We are going to walk We go to walk or we will go to walk > We are going to eat We go to eat or we will go to eat > We will go to write

Now, we will learn how WE command is formed by using the WE form of the subjunctive present.

Unless children are building software, most likely they are consuming, therefore having everything done for them. There is no excuse, for example, for parents to say that their child would not stop using the iPad.
