ABOUT US COMMANDS

ABOUT US COMMANDS

WE are often used to suggest that others do something with you rather than to command: let's do something or let's not do something. We already learned a way to say let's do something by using VAMOS A + infinitive verb :

Let's walk! Let's go to eat! Let's go to eat! Let's write! Let's go to write!
It is important to use exclamation marks to indicate that the construction VAMOS A + Infinitive is used as a US command. Otherwise, it will have another meaning (in the present tense and near future):
We are going to walk We go to walk or we will go to walk > We are going to eat We go to eat or we will go to eat > We will go to write

Now, we will learn how WE command is formed by using the WE form of the subjunctive present.

Today my coworker told me how to tell her how she lost her wallet, and a guy returned it to her with his business card in it. When he goes into his room to change out of his heavy work clothes into a t-shirt and sweatpants, he takes off his slacks.
