India is a country of many festivals. One of these is "Navratri" which is celebrated throughout the country in the month of September or October, depending on the Hindu calendar. Dolls play an important role in South India during the nine-night Navratri time and it is a home-like celebration.

In a similar way to the Christmas tree in the west, Dolls show called "Golu" is central in this social celebration of South India's homes. The wrists are mounted on each odd step as 3, 5, 7 or 9 of the ladder for good luck. These dolls are passed through generations in the family. At the same time, each year new dolls of recent themes are available in stores.

These dolls are Hindu gods, mythological characters, humans, animals, etc. They represent histories of Hindu myths and daily scenes in the streets of India and present us with the belief that gods remain among us.

The interesting thing is the way the dolls are ordered on the stairs. The first staircase is for the supreme gods who are worshiped by people.

Also, a small statue of Goddess Shakthi is decorated by the side of this exhibition or sometimes The doll representing this goddess is made out of silk cloth and ready-made face in the stores.
