Ivanka, Chelsea say Malia Obama should be 'off limits' to media

Both sides of the USA political divide are defending Malia Obama's right to privacy after a video went viral showing the eldest daughter of former president Barack Obama apparently smoking.

Despite the fact that her father no longer runs the country, this isn't the first time Malia's post-White House life has come under scrutiny: many eyebrows were raised when she attended (and reportedly lost her iPhone at) Lollapalooza in August. "She is a young adult and private citizen, and should be OFF limits", Ivanka Trump said in a tweet. Trump and Clinton took to Twitter on Friday to defend Obama's right to choose to live as a private citizen-and enjoy college!-now that she's out of the White House.

Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton have raced to the safeguard of Malia Obama after recordings seeming to demonstrate the 19-year-old previous first little girl kissing a young fellow and smoking started coursing on the Internet. "Be better", Clinton, who also endured the media's gaze in her formative years, added. "It's high time the media & everyone leave Barron Trump alone & let him have the private childhood he deserves", she wrote.

Clinton, the daughter of former President Clinton, followed less than an hour later with her own tweet urging privacy for Malia Obama.
