Trump Now Claims the Voice on the Access Hollywood Tape Wasn't His

President Trump reportedly told a senator and an adviser that the "Access Hollywood" video in which he boasts about grabbing women by their genitalia without their consent may not be authentic, according to a report.

Sanders, pressed Monday on The New York Times reporting, said that Trump already "addressed this" and "made his position clear at that time".

But that's where we're at as word continues to spread that Trump is privately suggesting the infamous Access Hollywood tape - the one published by the Washington Post in which Trump audibly advocates sexual assault to a chuckling Billy Bush - may not be real. At the time, Trump simply dismissed the comments as "locker-room talk".

In a recent New York Times report on Trump's defense of Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore, who was accused of groping, harassing, and trying to date multiple underage girls, the Times revealed that Trump had claimed more than once that the Access Hollywood tape had been faked.

When the tape was made public by the Washington Post in October 2016, Trump acknowledged he was speaking in the video and apologized for his comments, in which he said: "You know, I'm automatically attracted to lovely - I just start kissing them".

The conversation was recorded in 2005 and one can forgive a fuzzy memory, especially from a man who has spewed so much vitriol just in the last 2.5 years, let alone the last decade.

"I don't know how else that could be fake unless someone's planting words in your mouth", Zucker told host Anderson Cooper.

The tape, during which Trump says "Grab them by the p***y", prompted outrage in the month leading up to the USA election.

President Trump apologized for the comments when they surfaced previous year, calling them "locker room talk". Trump said that he tried to sleep with Bush's co-host Nancy O'Dell while she was married and said of women he finds attractive, "I just start kissing them..."

For their part, the folks at Access Hollywood are standing firm and saying that, yes, the tape is real. Certainly I'm not proud of it. "I was wrong. And I apologize".

In a press conference, however, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said that Trump has not changed his position on the issue, and added that the president was troubled by "the accounts that are being reported now". "This was locker room talk". I've traveled the country talking about change for America, but my travels have also changed me.

"I think it is way more troubling than it is getting credit for", Cuomo said of NYT's report on Trump's so-far private denials of the tape's authenticity. And I was embarrassed by it.
